Shortly before earning his first black belt in 1994, Scott started teaching Martial Arts at what was then Kovar's Karate Center (Kovar's Satori Academy of Martial Arts). Working in the Granite Bay location, Scott was put in charge of new students, teaching children and adult's first lessons in the school, as well as their second lessons. During this time, the school grew from 180 to over 250 students. It was during this time Scott learned how to build rapport with his students, care for his student's growth and maintaining a high level of professionalism when dealing with students and parents of students.

Deciding to return to school in 2000, Scott left martial arts instruction and returned to American River Community College, to eventually earn an Associates Degree. During this time, Scott worked as a bartender and server, learning how to give quick, quality service, by T. G. I. Friday's standards, which are some of the highest in the service industry. Perfecting his ability to build rapport with the guests in the restaurant, Scott became a strong server in the company. Along with this skill, Scott perfected his ability to give strong service, and care about the service his guests receive, not only from him but his team members as well.

During Scott's time as a server, he studied and obtained a CompTIA A+ and CompTIA Network + Certification in 2004. Scott has continually read trade journals and books to keep abreast of the latest trends. Starting in June of 2005, Scott starting working in all areas of IT including Technical Support, Network Support, Junior Network Administration, and Senior Network Administration. The companies Scott has worked for includes ZyXel Communications, ATT/Yahoo Internet (2Wire), Valor IT and Powerstation, LLC. Starting on the phone working with retail customers, Scott has perfected his troubleshooting skills, and his ability to lead people to a solution using real world language.

Scott has experience with giving customer service and support and believes in this above all else. Scott brought this experience with him when he founded Appreciative Consulting, LLC. Founded in the spirit of collaboration, Scott wants to put his customers growth before his own, helping his customers get the best return on their technology investment. Over the past year, Scott has grown into a quality businessman with many goals, both for himself and his company.
